MBS is the only French business school in the Shanghai 2023 ranking
The latest edition of the Shanghai ranking of the world’s top universities was published on 15 August. For the second year in a row, MBS is the only French business school to be ranked. This demanding and prestigious ranking, published by the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, assesses higher education establishments according to six major criteria focusing on research performance. A total of 27 French institutions have been included in the 21st edition of the Shanghai Ranking of the world’s top 1,000 higher education establishments.
MBS PROVIDES EFFICIENT, COMMITTED AND INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR RESEARCH
Montpellier Business School entered the Shanghai ranking for the first time in 2021. MBS was among the Top 3 French business schools in four thematic rankings in the 2022-2023 ranking (Economics, Finance, Business Administration and Management), with a 3rd national ranking for its ‘Finance’ research and a 6th national ranking for its ‘Management’ research. The next Shanghai thematic rankings will be published in October 2023.
The distinctive feature of research at MBS lies in its alignment with the school’s mission, which is to shape the curriculum’s development around the ecological transition issues. Since 2015, 25% of the papers produced by the school’s teacher-researchers have dealt with CSR and sustainable development. These contributions then contribute directly to the content of the courses and to management practices. This new international ranking confirms MBS’s excellent research results.
