ANNOUNCEMENT

Montpellier Business School (MBS) is organizing GLOGIFT 24, the 24th conference of Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management (GIFT) from 15th to 16th July 2024. The theme of the conference is “Cost Effectiveness, Resilience, Flexibility and Data Driven”. This conference is an effort to provide a global platform for policymakers, practitioners, researchers, teachers, and students to share their practical experiences, knowledge and insight in the evolution, formulation and implementation of strategies and models for flexible entreprises to meet the changing requirements of global business. The objective of this conference is to provide a knowledge sharing platform for dissemination of research and experiential findings through empirical study, qualitative modeling, case studies, new concepts and state-of-the-art studies. Paper presentation opportunities are available in both online as well as face-to-face mode (hybrid mode).

About GIFT Society

The Department of Management Studies of IIT Delhi (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) took the initiative to establish GIFT – the Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management – as a professional body to confront the challenges of the changing business environment with the help of the active participation of individual and corporate members. It publishes professional publications, holds annual Global Conferences and Seminars, and engages in a wide range of academic, research, and developmental initiatives. GIFT aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to showcase their ideas grounded in proper research in order to promote and integrate ideas like sustainability in a business environment.

CALL FOR PAPERS

‘GLOGIFT 24’ invites researchers, students, and practitioners to submit research-based as well as practical papers linked with the theme of the Conference. The broad areas / sub-themes that will be of interest for the conference are given below. Papers can be submitted to any one of the following sub-themes or related areas.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Papers should be thought provoking and based on current research. The titles should be brief. Although there is no word limit, concise papers are encouraged. Papers can be accepted for presentation based on the extended abstracts. All submissions to be made through e-mail at: c.foropon@montpellier-bs.com

KEYNOTES SPEAKERS

Professor Stefan Minner, International Journal of Production Economics Editor-In-Chief Professor Stefan Minner is a Full Professor for Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the School of Management, Technical University of Munich (TUM). His research interests are in global supply chain design, transportation optimization and inventory management using Operations Research and Machine Learning methods. The work was published in many peer reviewed journals, including Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Operations Research, Production and Operations Management, Transportation Science, Transportation Research Part B, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers and Operations Research and OR Spectrum. For his research output, he was currently listed among the top 1% business professors in German speaking countries by Wirtschaftswoche and among the top 2% researchers worldwide in a citation-based ranking by Stanford University. He serves on several editorial boards of logistics and operations journals. Currently, Stefan Minner is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Production Economics and of Sustainable Manufacturing and Service Economics. Stefan Minner is a fellow of the International Society for Inventory Research (ISIR) and is currently vice-chairman of the scientific advisory board of the German Logistics Association (BVL), and a member of the Research Committee of the European Logistics Association (ELA). Professor Constantin Blome International Journal of Operations and Production Management Co-Editor-In-Chief Professor Constantin Blome, Lancaster University Leipzig Academic Dean, is also a Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Operations & Production Management. His research interests include supply chain management, procurement and operations management with strong focus on sustainability, innovation and risk issues. He is particularly interested in topics that shape managerial practice and reactions of firms to internal and external supply chain challenges. In recent years this led to extensive research in risk management and sustainability topics. Professor Sushil, Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management Editor-In-Chief   Professor Sushil is Abdulaziz Alsagar Chair Professor (Professor of Strategic, Flexible Systems and Technology Management) and Chair, Strategic Management Group, Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He has served as Deputy Director (Operations) and Dean (Faculty) at IIT Delhi. He has served as Visiting Professor and delivered seminars in many leading universities, such as Kyoto University, Tokyo, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ, University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris, among others. He is an active researcher and has supervised more than 60 doctoral dissertations. He has twenty books to his credit in the areas of Flexibility, Strategy, Systems Thinking, and Technology Management and over 300 papers in various refereed journals and conferences. He is the Founder Editor-in-chief of Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management and serving on the Editorial Boards of leading international journals. He is the Editor of Book Series on Flexible Systems Management published by Springer.
