Accreditations & Labels
MBS is recognised by the state as a Private Higher Education Institution of General Interest (EESPIG). Several of its courses are accredited with a bachelor’s or master’s degree recognised by the state after evaluation by the Commission d’évaluation des formations et diplômes de gestion (CEFDG). These courses are registered in the National Vocational Training Register (RNCP) drawn up by France Compétences. MBS has been awarded Qualiopi certification for its training programmes, which include programmes to validate acquired experience and apprenticeship programmes.
Montpellier Business School is an EESPIG (Private Higher Education Institution of General Interest). This label, issued by the French State, guarantees that all of its resources are exclusively allocated to the public service mission of higher education.
Under associative status (law 901), MBS is firmly and permanently a non-profit organisation.
The role of the Commission d’évaluation des formations et diplômes de gestion (CEFDG) is to organise quality control procedures for higher education courses in commerce and management, with a view to building the European higher education area. It also examines the development of higher education management courses in line with the overall system of existing higher education courses.

France Compétences is the national authority responsible for financing, regulating and improving the vocational training and apprenticeship system.

The purpose of the Qualiopi mark is to attest to the quality of the process implemented by providers of skills development initiatives, and to make the training on offer more easily understandable to companies and users. It is awarded after evaluation by an approved certifying body on the basis of a national quality reference framework.
MBS is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles and the Conférence des Directeurs des Ecoles Françaises de Management.
The Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE) brings together 238 Grandes Ecoles, all of which are recognised by the State and award a Master’s degree. It is a forum for discussion and action, a guarantee of quality and an accreditation body.
The Conférence des Directeurs des Ecoles Françaises de Management (CDEFM) brings together the French management schools awarding a Master’s degree. It is their spokesperson to national and international organisations responsible for teaching and research, and is responsible for representing their common interests.

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation is the guarantee of the best business training in the world.
- Less than 5% of the world’s business schools are AACSB accredited.
MBS holds this prestigious accreditation for all its programmes and activities.
EFMD-EQUIS Accreditation
Granted by the European Foundation for Management Development, EQUIS accreditation is awarded to schools that ensure a high standard of academic excellence, close links with the business world and strong academic research potential with a solid international dimension.
- Less than 1% of schools worldwide are EFMD-EQUIS accredited.
MBS holds this accreditation for all its programmes and activities.
AMBA Accreditation
The AMBA Accreditation is the oldest and most prestigious distinction for MBA programmes. It is awarded for the organisation and content of the programmes and the level and quality of the faculty.
- Less than 2% of MBA programmes worldwide are AMBA accredited.
The MBS Grande Ecole and Executive MBA programmes are AMBA accredited.
A DEEPLY COMMITED SCHOOL
A PIONEERING SCHOOL FOR DIVERSITY AND PROFESSIONAL EQUALITY
MBS was the first higher education institution to be awarded this State label, which is given to organisations that meet strict specifications, including the definition and implementation of a concrete and measurable diversity policy.
MBS was also the first higher education institution to obtain this State label which rewards exemplary and innovative approaches to gender equality.
To date, MBS is the only school to hold both the “Diversity” and “Professional Equality” labels.
MBS is a signatory of the LGBTQA+ Charter of Commitment of L’Autre Cercle, which is the first European initiative to provide a formal framework for a policy to promote diversity and prevent discrimination.
Through this ambitious Charter, MBS commits to refuse any potentially discriminatory practice and to adapt and provide access to all benefits and rights granted in the context of the organisation of daily life, conjugality or parenthood.
As a signatory of #STOPE (“Stop Ordinary Sexism in the Workplace”), MBS is working with 150 other companies to combat ordinary sexism in the workplace and to bring about a lasting reduction in so-called ordinary sexism by taking concrete action on a daily basis.
BSIS System is a comprehensive multi-dimensional impact assessment tool for business school. It is an ongoing commitment which MBS has been engaged since 2015.
Human Rights, Environment and Social Progress
MBS is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact and the PRME in favour of human rights, the environment and social progress.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Montpellier Business School has obtained the DDRS label for four years in 2022.
This label validates the concrete actions already deployed by the school, its committed and inclusive strategic plan, and guarantees continuous improvement on these crucial subjects in anticipation of its future eco-campus 2025.
