Dr Eric Vivien has worked for over 13 years in Asia before joining the International cooperation and relation office of MBS. Initially trained as a microbiologist, he switched his career towards international academic cooperation and served as a cooperation officer in science, technology, and higher education for the French Foreign Affairs. He has strong expertise in higher education project management in complex settings, as well as experience working in developing countries. He was in charge of coordinating a portfolio of over 90 university degrees (Bachelor and Master levels, national diplomas, and de-localized trainings) in South East Asia. Specifically, Eric set up a community of practices and supported long-term strategies to foster collaboration and work opportunities between French and foreign academic communities. He is now in charge of the international academic exchanges of MBS, and focuses specifically on research and/or teaching mobility.
Eric holds a Doctoral Degree in molecular Microbiology from Montpellier University and a Master degree in Biotechnology from Wageningen Agricultural University (Netherlands). His career as a biologist led him focus on the Chemistry/Biology interface in several pathologies.
