Programme outline

The MSc in Lean Operations Management is a foremost and innovative programme designed to give you a specialist insight into the area of Lean Management, a way for you to become highly competent on how to contribute both effectively and efficiently to continuous improvement and transformation initiatives that appear more and more within the industrial and service. Thus to accelerate your access to key positions of responsibility in companies and organisations.

Through a one-year training programme, which combines the theoretical and practical course-work focused on innovative management, you will be equipped with necessary tools to broaden your skills to face your professional challenges with confidence. The objectives of the programme are to enable students to:
• Focus on customers’ needs by identifying their expectations translated in measurable requirements
• Rely on various structured approaches (Lean Operations Management, Six Sigma) to improve organisational processes by removing wastes and non-value added activities
• Prepare and facilitate with enthusiasm and dynamism improvement workshops (Kaizen events) by engaging stakeholders
• Lead and support change through continuous improvement initiatives while assuring the process of implementation within quality and time constraints
• Formalise management practices identified during Kaizen workshops into work procedures
• Rearrange the workplace to facilitate continuous improvement (5S approach);
• Develop managerial skills on how to engage colleagues on improvement matters
• Master and communicate quality management tools within the organisation;
• Efficiently communicate improvement and transformation milestones;
• Set up performance measurement indicators to track improvement activities;
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement at various levels in an organisation (e.g. voice of the customer, valuable processes).
