109 students of the Bachelor programme received on March the 18th their double degree from La Trobe University, partner of Montpellier BS


Among the different courses offered in the final year of the Montpellier BS Bachelor of International Business Administration, many students choose to do a double degree, especially the one with La Trobe University in Australia. On March the 18th, 109 students of the 12th promotion of Montpellier BS got graduated according to the Australian standards, in the presence of Dr. Amalia Di Lorio, Professor and Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic Partnerships, Jane Hamilton, Professor of Accounting / Auditing and Associate Head and John Bevacqua, Senior Academic Advisor of La Trobe.

The Montpellier BS Bachelor programme which is ranked at the 1st position of the Bachelors in International Business (see THE MOCI 2016) offers many opportunities for the students to integrate the international dimension in their curriculum. In addition to internships abroad or international functions in France, they can in the final year of the programme, study abroad in one of Montpellier BS’ partner universities in more than 20 countries! They can also do a double Australian degree that they must validate ... from France ... The pedagogical method is based on the Anglo-Saxon standards, they have 7 compulsory subjects taught entirely in English by our teachers and supervised by teachers from the partner university. Once completed, students get their bachelor from La Trobe University which is a real asset to start an international career.

« The graduation ceremony of La Trobe University is done as if we were in Australia, with the national hymns and they give the original diploma. Each student receives congratulations from the deans and professors from both universities. Parents as well as graduates are often moved because it is a lot of hard work which students usually do not expect, » says Natalie Foulquier-Gazagnes, teaching assistant at the Bachelor program.

« This French/Australian diploma which is demanding and recognized by the world's highest academic institutions (AACSB) is a real asset on your CV, » Cyrille Mandou, Program Director, precises « It also helps the students to open up to other horizons which will be helpful for their first job. »
