Graduate  of the “Accreditation Through Experience” (VAE) programme abroad: the successful cooperation of Montpellier Business School with Banco Popular

The first international VAE jury was held in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) on 10th & 11th March, which awarded a total validation of the Master Grande Ecole degree to Mrs Valerie Perrotta Drouin, Senior Executive of Banco Popular; the first Caribbean bank with 7,000 employees based mainly in the Dominican Republic. She becomes the first international graduate school of the Master Grande Ecole through the VAE!

The jury made an official announcement of the results at the Banco Popular headquarters, which was attended by Mr Alex Pimentel, Executive Vice President of Banco Popular and Dr. Rafael Sanchez Cardenas, Vice-Minister of Higher Education in the Dominican Republic, who officially welcomed Montpellier Business School’s VAE method in the Caribbean. Montpellier Business School has been able to develop this activity in the Dominican Republic through support from Mr Henri Hébrard, Executive Director of the French Dominican Chamber of Commerce in Santo Domingo, of its Outsourced International Recruitment Centre.

Her journey began in November 2013 when she started writing her thesis defence, which is a requirement of the VAE. 3 chosen managers were shortlisted by Banco Popular out of a wider group of twenty other managers identified by the bank as part of a high-potential group. Carolina Leyba Pacheco and Vianka Carolina Avilès Coste are still continuing their validation of the Master Grande Ecole diploma through VAE. They will soon follow further training with Dr. Carlos Sanchez, a research professor at Montpellier Business School to cap everything off.

Satisfied with the process, Banco Popular will entrust Montpellier Business School with the coaching frameworks of the VAE starting in October. Now, with almost a hundred candidates accompanied by individual or collective VAE in France and abroad, Montpellier Business School demonstrates its expertise in Bachelor and Master Grande Ecole VAE programmes and their benefits on companies, candidates and highly diversified industries.

This offer of VAE is part of a wider professional training solution developed by Montpellier Business School, which has recently been enhanced through the launch of an innovative catalogue of over 130 short courses.
