Information Technology & Innovation

This group conducts research at the intersection of technology and innovation management. Innovation is now considered a top priority by CEOs. At the same time, information technology (IT) has come to bear a critical role in all aspects of innovation -from product-service innovation to business model innovation to management innovation. Our goal is to develop theories, empirical studies, design experiments and propose guidelines to inform the role of IT in innovation. The research group is a joint effort of Montpellier Business School and the following international collaborators Bill McKelvey (UCLA and Kedge Business School), Dorothy Leidner (Baylor University), and Tanya Menon (Fisher College of Business).

Current projects include:
- unlocking the potential of Idea systems
- emergent phenomena in IT
- crowdsourcing and lead user innovation
